How La'Dan's Closet came about...
Danyelle Freeland, maternal granddaughter of a self- taught designer and seamstress & paternal granddaughter of a fashion "DIVA", realized early on that shopping for the clothes she desired was very difficult . She would piece together items but was really never satisfied with what was in her closet. Latresa Harper struggled with the same dilemma. Growing up with nothing for kids or teens her size to wear, admiring the trendy styles that her peers were wearing, she decided that it was up to her to make a change. She wanted to create what she felt was glamorous for the plus sized women. Eric D. Heckstall, businessman and longtime friend of both Latresa and Danyelle, saw the vision each of them conveyed. With a love for fashion and business savvy he, saw the void in the market and realized there was much he could contribute. Nature took it's course .
Designers Latresa and Danyelle have a keen sense of what's ''HOT" and what's "NOT". They would create a line that’s fashion forward, trendy , and of the highest quality.
